English Cartoon VS Japanese Anime

After years of being exposed to these 2 types of animation, I wanted to express my perspective of the matter. Personally, I highly prefer Japanese Anime.

Before I explain myself, allow me first to explain what is typically English cartoons. To me English cartoons are basically independent series that resolves around common issues such as crime, justice, the supernatural and magic. Most, if not all, English cartoons do not have main plot but rather each episode in the cartoon has its own plot and synopsis. Watching many cartoons, such as Batman, Superman, Justice League, Ben 10 and the Fantastic 4, I began to diddain them. At times, I even felt reluctant to switch on the tv due to the fact that each episode will probably be same at the previous one. For instance, I used to be an avid fan of Batman and I regularly watch the Batman cartoon. After a while, I am sad to say that the suspense or the excitement died out. Every epsiode that i watched will start off with a crime and in the end Batman will save the day. As result, I just could not take it. Thinking about it made me feel the heebie-jeebies. Now, I could care less about the crime or whatnot that is or will happen in Gotham City.

Japanese Anime, on the other hand, it something on another level, REALLY! I first started watching anime when my brother showed it some of the episodes. If I remember correctly, I think it was GTO : Great Teacher Onizuka. Man, did I laugh my ass off [LMAO]. Ever since, I have focused my attection more on Japanese Anime. To me Japanese Anime is more focused This is because, each series has a main plot. Subsequently, each episode contributes to the plot. And that is what I called nice, that is, all the episodes in a particular series are united but at the same time, each and every individual episode makes an impact on the viewer. For example, (to take the GTO again) in GTO, the main plot is a gangster wanting to reform has acrhieve his life-long dream of being a teacher and later to teach his students to value of life. Thus each episode does its job in portraying that. BUT, at the same time, each episode has a moral value, and a whole bunch of laughter.
Nevertheless, tho English cartoon has some good points (espacially for lazy bums ZZ), I will strongly prefer Japanese Anime. I certainly can't imagine myself as a hardcore cartoon fanatic. So, I supposed the question we will ask ourselves is not Which one is better? but Which one do are interested more? Basically, it boils down to preference. Hence: The choice is your: Love it or Leave it.
